Defendant Charged with Illegal Gun Possession in Superior Court Now Faces Federal Firearm Charge

Kevin Hopkins, 39, a resident of the District of Columbia, was indicted today in U.S. District Court, on a firearms charge, as part of the "Make D.C. Safe Again" initiative. The indictment was announced by U.S. Attorney Edward R. Martin Jr., Special Agent in Charge Special Agent in Charge Ibrar A. Mian of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Washington Division and Chief Pamela Smith of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).
