display shelves
I painted and lighted the display shelves this week. I still need to fill the picture frames, which I might do sooner rather than later. I also need to wire manage the lights, which might happen later. I ordered a photo book from the boudoir shoot that I want to go here. I'm not sure how much height its shelf will need so I'm reluctant to tack down the cables until it arrives, which leaves me in an operational Catch-22. I was moving quickly to prepare this area before the book is ready, but the shelves won't be ready until the book is.
I met with one of the local historical societies yesterday. I spoke with somebody from their group at Community Day last weekend, who invited me to a planning meeting for their upcoming open house in early December. Apparently normally theme-less, this year will be themed around A Christmas Carol. I volunteered to play Jacob Marley. I met with a neighbor afterwards to walk the dogs around a park.
The weather is turning cold quicker than usual, though I'm resisting turning on the central heat for another few weeks. The makeshift fire pit, dog piles, and infinite grilled cheese have sufficed for localized warmth.
