Previously Convicted Violent Offender Sentenced to 18 1/2-Year Prison Term for November 2023 Shooting in Northeast D.C.

Jerry Tyree, 46, of the District, was sentenced May 6, 2025, to 18 1/2 years in prison for shooting the victim once in the genitals on Nov. 29, 2023 in the 5900 block of Foote Street NE, announced U.S. Attorney Edward R. Martin Jr. and Chief Pamela Smith, of the Metropolitan Police Department.
